DuraFon 1X

The EnGenius DuraFon 1X System attaches to a line from the phone company or one single line port from a phone system.

Although as many as nine 1X-HC handsets operate from a single base, most users choose a one-to-one ratio between handsets and bases. This allows each base and handset to have its own distinct extension on the phone system. In this way, calls may be transferred directly to a users handset. Similarly, EnGenius users may receive an intercom call from someone on the phone system. Each EnGenius user would be able to make a call, intercom anyone on the phone system, answer an inbound call to their phone or to the phone system and even transfer a call directly to another EnGenius user.

Without this one to one ratio, users may be more limited than they would like.
